In order to be successful, employees must engage with the right people, at the right time - seamlessly across multiple companies. UC Exchange Directory Services overcomes this hurdle by providing a unique, searchable "phone book" for "federation-ready" partners, and validated contact information based on employee profiles received from contributing member organizations.
At the organizational level, UC Exchange maintains details of all participating members in a Members Directory which is available from the UC Exchange management portal, and provides access to a growing directory of "federation-ready" companies. The Members Directory allows organizations to easily find and connect to business partners (by sending them an audited federation request).
All new organizations joining UC Exchange, whether as a Directory Member or a Community Member are automatically added to the Members Directory, so that they are available for other members of the UC Exchange community to find and connect with.
Members can send requests to NextPlane to add organizations that are not currently members of the UC Exchange Members Directory.
At the user level, UC Exchange Directory Services provides member organization's employees with a centralized database for identifying colleagues in partner organizations, and to quickly connect and collaborate with them regardless of their UC platforms.
UC Exchange Directory Search enables authorized end-users to search for the contact information of their colleagues in partner organizations directly from their UC clients and without the need to install a client plug-in. Users can search for colleagues by a combination of name, company, title, and/or location.
Upon a successful search result users can add their colleagues to their UC clients' contact list.
