UC Exchange Skype Federation

Overview

Skype has become an important communication tool for both consumers, and small to medium businesses and its popularity continues to grow. Recently, Microsoft retired Windows Live Messenger and migrated over 100 million users to Skype.

The UC Exchange service for UC to Skype Federation allows companies to communicate seamlessly with Skype users without installing a Skype client. Skype contacts can be easily added to UC client contact lists exactly the same way as other federated contacts. This compatibility ensures that organizations with UC platforms can maintain a single UC client for all business communications as they build their collaborative communities.
